Jewelry Q&A: Bettina Anderson
Palm Beach is having a major moment, and unless you have been living under a rock (or away from social media, same thing) you have probably noticed that model and digital influencer Bettina Anderson is at the helm of the town’s revival.
Known for her quick wit as well as for her cool-girl style, this chic Palm Beacher has an affinity for timeless gold jewelry and fun statement pieces. I sat down with Bettina to talk jewelry, and here is what I found about about her favorite pieces and personal style.
What’s the role of jewelry in your every day life?
- I am really simple when it comes to everyday jewelry. I wear jewelry that has sentimental meaning and rarely take them off. When I’m going out or on vacation I like to have fun with statement earrings :)
Living in Palm Beach, how important is jewelry?
-Palm Beach is very easy going and the style here is a bit more classic and practical than our counterparts in Miami or New York. I have always been a quality over quantity girl. I would rather have a few nice pieces than a lot of junk, and my style is pretty classic and simple. I rarely change up my every day jewelry. I have a few nice pieces that are staples of my every day look.
What are your favorite pieces? Brands?
I love my Walters Faith diamond bangle, which I pair with my Van Cleef bracelet. You will rarely find me not wearing them! I never take off my two Cartier trinity bands that my mother gave me which I stack with my grandmother’s wedding band. I also have a gold charm necklace that has charms from my whole life, and is the most important and sentimental thing I own. Right now I am coveting the green topaz butterfly necklace from Patricia Robalino and these amazing gold statement earrings from Kitik.
You travel a lot, what are your go-to travel jewels?-
I do travel a lot! Mostly to warm tropical places! The only important jewelry I bring with me are the pieces I never take off ( 2 bracelets and my ring stack) and then I pack a lot of fun statement earrings which I find randomly all over and are not expensive!
You have a fashionable mom and sisters, do you have any memorable jewelry stories with the women in your life?
My twin sister and I are very different when it comes to jewelry. She always has something different on and loves to pair jewelry with whatever she’s wearing that day. I, on the other hand, usually always have the same few things on! When we were little she would come downstairs with bracelets stacked up to her elbows and I would just have one on!
If you had no budget restrictions, what jewelry piece or pieces would you gift yourself?
-Wow what a dream! To be honest I think important jewelry should always be a gift from someone else. The things I treasure the most have been given or passed down to me, not things I’ve bought for myself; BUT if I were to buy myself something it would be diamond stud earrings and the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona in yellow gold with the black face.
Who is your biggest jewelry influence or inspiration?
This is a tough one! I really like Jennifer Fisher’s and Anita Ko’s Instagrams.
